About Debt Relief Path
Debt Relief Path is a Canadian referral service. We built it because the first thing most people meet when they search for help with debt is a sales funnel that will not tell them what it is selling or who is paying for it. The five routes out of consumer debt are well documented and mostly free to learn about. What is hard is working out which one applies to you without someone with a commission on the line answering the question.
What we do
We ask a short set of questions, apply a published set of rules to your answers, and show you the route that fits along with the alternatives. Then we either hand you a public directory or, with your permission, introduce you to a licensed provider.
The line we do not cross
We never contact your creditors, never receive or forward your money, and never charge you. Those three things are what separate a referral service from a debt-settlement business, and crossing any of them would put us under a licensing regime we are not part of.
How we make money
Licensed settlement companies and consolidation lenders pay us for introductions. Trustee and non-profit referrals earn us nothing and are never sold.
