How we're paid
You are never charged for anything on this site. Here is exactly where the money comes from, because you should be able to see the incentive before you rely on anything we show you.
In one line
Debt Relief Path is compensated by the providers it introduces you to, not by you.
Who pays us
Licensed debt-settlement companies and consolidation lenders pay Debt Relief Path when we introduce a person to them. That payment is for the introduction. It does not depend on whether you sign anything with them, and we receive nothing from any payment you later make to a provider.
Where we are paid nothing
If your answers point to a consumer proposal or to non-profit credit counselling, we hand you a public directory and step out of the way. We are not paid for those, and we do not sell those introductions to anyone. Licensed Insolvency Trustees are barred by federal rules from paying for referrals, and we do not ask them to.
What that means for the results you see
Two of the five routes earn us money and three do not. We show you the route that fits your answers, including when that route earns us nothing — the rules behind the result are the same for everyone and do not consider what we are paid. If a result ever looks like it is steering you, tell us and we will show you the reasoning.
You are never obliged to take the introduction
You can read your results, decline the introduction, and approach any provider yourself. Every provider we work with can also be found and contacted directly, without us.
