What this service is

Debt Relief Path is an information and referral service. We apply a published set of rules to the answers you give and show you which debt-relief routes may fit, then either point you at a public directory or, with your consent, introduce you to an independent provider.

What this service is not

We do not provide debt settlement, debt collection, credit counselling, insolvency, financial, or legal advice. We do not negotiate with creditors on your behalf. We do not receive, hold, or distribute your money. We are not affiliated with any government body.

No assured outcome

Results vary by individual circumstances. Debt Relief Path does not guarantee approval, savings amounts, timelines, or that any provider will take your case. Nothing on this site should be relied on as a prediction of what will happen in your situation.

Independent providers

Providers we introduce you to are independent businesses. We do not control their advice, their fees, or their conduct, and we are not a party to any agreement you enter into with them. Verify any provider's licence and fee schedule directly with them before you commit.

Compensation

We are compensated by licensed debt-settlement companies and consolidation lenders when we introduce you to them, and we are compensated by no one for trustee or non-profit referrals. You are never charged.

Accuracy of your answers

The routes we show you depend entirely on the answers you give. Inaccurate answers will produce results that do not reflect your situation.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Debt Relief Path is not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or from your dealings with any provider introduced through it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the province in which you reside and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
